I wanted to wish you Happy Holidays!!! I also wanted to let you know about some exciting things that are going on. Billboard just released the Top Dance/Club Songs of 2011 and I'm very happy to have been involved with remixes for artists like Britney Spears and Selena Gomez that made the list. I am also very thankful for everyone's support of S&M which I also remixed. It was the # 2 most played record of the year. Congrats to my girl Rihanna!!!

THE T-PAIN EFFECT BY IZOTOPE
OK so if you’re a music producer or an avid music fan and I say to you “The T-Pain effect” first thing you will think of is AUTO TUNE which is one of the things he is known for but for those who aren’t as Hip Hop minded as some let me tell you a little bit more about T-Pain or aka Faheem Rasheed Najm to his mum. Lets start with the basics – 25 years old from Tallahassee Florida, debuted as a solo artist in 2005 and in that time has produced and featured on over 45 top ten songs and 16 #1's all over the world which is success on the highest level so whatever this T-Pain effect is I WANT it.
So what is this new product from Boston based audio technology company iZotope and music mastermind? The T-Pain Effect consists of following –
The T-Pain Engine is a stand-alone beat making and vocal recording application that allows you to select from over 50 professional song templates. After you pick the beat you want (which is hard as they are all bangin) you can then record a vocal or rap over it and if you need a little help getting your vocals right then add the T-Pain Vocal Effect which will have you sounding amazing in no time. You can customize the beat and edit vocals then when you have everything sounding like a hit record simply use the built in exporter to publish straight to SoundCloud for the world to hear.
iDrum: T-Pain Edition, a virtual drum machine that includes hundreds
of custom beats covering different genres and inspired by over 50 new T-Pain iDrum kits with all- new samples. Used as a standalone application or a plug-in users can arrange beats into songs, create new kits and patterns, import their own samples, and edit samples with effects like pitch, filter, and decay.
The T-Pain Vocal Effect, as I said T-Pain is famous for using Auto Tune that is used to correct the pitch of vocals and instruments. Best way of describing this is say you sing out of key then Auto Tune uses a Phase Vocoder to correct your vocal to the right key but will add that robotic sound to your voice that you hear a lot in music. It has been used by everyone from Cher to Janet Jackson and not always because the artist can’t sing because I have heard T-Pain without it and the boy can sing so it is sometimes just added to give the vocal a certain sound.
